San Francisco, CA
This AIA Award winning project is part of the bond measure, the San Francisco Public Library has renovated the Presidio Branch Library in a sustainably and historical fabric sensitive manner.
The renovation highlights include two new restrooms downstairs & a family restroom upstairs, a designated Teen Area, Children’s Room with interactive learning features, more computers, improved downstairs Program Room, new pendant light fixtures, exterior façade & stairs restoration, and more functional and ergonomic staff work areas
Our team provided full MEP and Sustainable Design services including CFD modelling to understand daylight and natural ventilation. Idea was to keep design simple with radiant heating and ventilation only. Activate the windows to provide fresh air and utilize simple ceiling fans to move air through the building.
